We are a pan-Orthodox community formed for the express purpose of providing spiritual preparation and assistance to our beloved Orthodox infirm and elderly who desire to prepare for a holy repose. Initially, we are collaborating with a Clearwater, Florida assisted living facility and will be able to provide 10 beds for our Orthodox residents.
The facility features an Orthodox chapel where divine services are served on a daily basis. Local priests from Orthodox parishes will serve the Divine Liturgy and the Holy Mysteries. There will be ample opportunities to the Mystery of Confession as well. The full complement of the Hours will be prayed in the chapel on a daily basis for our living and reposed residents.
Most Holy Theotokos Rescuer of the Perishing is under the omophorion of His Grace Bishop John, Bishop of Naro-Fominsk, Vicar of the Moscow Diocese, and Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA.
As a house of prayer and repentance, we will strive to punctuate every moment of the day with prayer in keeping with Saint Paul’s admonition “Pray without ceasing” (1Thess. 5:17) In that same spirit, we will also offer classes and lectures on the Orthodox life, prayer, reflections on the lives of the holy fathers, and the life of repentance.
Meals will be prepared in accordance with the fasting regulations of the Holy Orthodox Church and according to one’s ability to fast depending upon your health and dietary requirements.
