Sermon for the Fifth Sunday of Great Lent-Mother Mary of Egypt

Father Stephen Zaremba offered a homily this morning on the occasion of the Fifth Sunday of Great Lent.

Another author writing about the life of the great ascetic Saint Mary of Egypt noted that she confessed her sins on three occasions during her life but spent 47 years in repentance.  Holy Mother Mary pray to God for us!

This week, His Grace Bishop Thomas served the Great Canon on Wednesday evening.  On Friday morning the Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts was served.  That same evening, the Laudations to the Mother of God was served.  The next morning, Divine Liturgy was served in honor and commemoration of the Most Holy Theotokos.

This week, we will publish our full liturgical schedule for Holy Week.  May God grant us a holy end to our Great Fast.
