Liturgy Commemorating Saint Paisios Velichkovsky

Prior to our board meeting, the priests of Most Holy Theotokos Rescuer of the Perishing served Divine Liturgy.  Our new Orthodox resident joined us for the Liturgy and was presented with a holy icon of Christ for his room.  Father Andrey brought the holy icon with him from Saint Gregory Russian Orthodox Church in Tampa and presented it to him at the conclusion of the service.

Prior to the conclusion of holy liturgy, Father Andrey served a megalynarion to Saint Paisios Velichkovsky, whose feast day we celebrated.  A megalynarion is a Greek term that may be rendered in English as “magnification” or in Church Slavonic Velichaniye.
